About Zaq Cass
Zaq Cass is a rabid reader of anything speculative or willing to subvert expectations. Having cut his teeth on fantasy, science fiction, and especially horror, a deep love of books has widened Zaq’s horizons on what he likes to read, which is turn spread to his writing.
Diving deeply into the tropes and standards that define genres and applying them outside of that box, Zaq blends speculative fiction, procedurals, history, and even modern epistolary to go deeper into his stories, adding a layer of immersion that works outside of clearly defined lines.
By day, he is a husband and a father living on a small chicken and turkey farm in Indiana. By night, he tries his hands at storytelling in his own way. He has been the anthologist of Error Code (Riverfolk Books) and has published “Character Creation” in Judith Sonnet Presents: SCREAMS and “Ephebiphobia” in Phobophobia (Wicked Ouija Press). He is currently working on his full length supernatural fantasy novel Snake Oil.
